 Guacamayo Bahía tours is a tour agency in Bahía de Caráquez which is dedicated to Responsible tourism, and environmental work. It is owned and run by Ecuadorian Dario Proaño and New Zealander Nicola Mears. The agency provides educational tours which not only take you to see some of the best natural attractions of the area and to enjoy some good adventure, but that look at the environmental and social issues of the area and of the country, alternatives, sustainable development and fair trade. The ecotourism contributes to the running of environmental projects. These include: an environmental primary school, Rio Muchacho Organic Farm, ecopapel -paper recycling project and the ecoschools programme.
 The agency has received ecotourism certification from the Ecuadorian Ecotourism Association and Ministry of Tourism.
Guacamayo tours not only works with foreign tourists but local community groups for training in waste management, organic agriculture & home gardens, conservation, reforestation etc.
The main office in Bahía sells local crafts, recycled paper , postcards, organic honey, shade coffee and many fair trade products from the fair trade electronic commerce network.
